I’m a creative individual who loves learning new technologies. I’ve been doing some type of computer graphics since 1993. At that time mostly using the crude tools of the time (MS Paint, Photoshop 2.0).

In the early days I was doing print design for a weekly magazine Network World. I lived in the world of QuarkXpress, Illustrator and Photoshop. My main expertise was understanding file types, advertising design and typography. That was back in the day when everything was still film. (I was responsible for the dark room, fixer, imagesetter).

In the early days of the web I learned my HTML skills with my very own Geocities site. Remember that?

I was an early adopter of CSS and learned it’s real power very quickly. Separation of form and function made updating very easy and allowed for more fulfilling design experiences.

I joined IDC a few years later where I managed a team of web designers and helped grow their web properties and brand presence in the US and disseminate design techniques, style guides and art direction to their 57 country offices.

I left IDC and started working at a great internet start-up called Eons. It’s a website dedicated to helping baby boomers live the best life possible. It was started by Jeff Taylor, founder of Monster.com My title there was Sr. User Experience Designer. My lead role was Art Direction and visual brand. But since it was a start-up, I also: wrote XHTML, CSS some Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, created prototypes, wireframes, flow charts, interaction patterns and made coffee!

I’m currently at Iron Mountain Digital working primarily on their LiveVault backup and recovery service for servers. My title is Principal User Experience designer. I work in the Analysis and Design department which is responsible for: eliciting user requirements, evaluating and testing, visual design and prototyping.
